What PS topics (electromagnetism, acids and bases, etc.) show up most frequently in practice exams/on the real thing (topics you absolutely have to know)? I know it is ideal to master everything, but that won't be realistic in my time frame. I plan to master the most important or "high-yield" PS topics and have a cursory knowledge of the rest. Thanks much.

Come on...any one?

I have seen a lot of translational/rotational equilibrium questions.

Fluids (90% of exams)
Optics (90% of exams)
E&M (90% of exams)
Acids/Bases (90% of exams)
Mole concepts (every exam)
Periodic trends (every exam)
Equilibrium/LeChatlier (every exam)
Buffers (every exam)
Reasoning ability (every exam)
Dimensional analysis (every exam)

Pretty much everything comes up a lot in PS. It's just not always wrapped up in a package that we're used to seeing.

You seriously will need to have a good understanding of all of the topics listed on the AAMC's list. As 0Complications posted, you will not have too many obvious questions on a particular topic. Although it might not seem like it, MCAT questions typically involve combining two or more topics.
