It can't hurt. But it's pretty late in the cycle (some might argue that the cycle for II is over), so I wouldn't get your hopes up.

It's probably too late to help with schools you haven't interviewed at but I'd definitely send an update to schools you've already interviewed at/are scheduled to interview at! You don't need to send proof - I would just include copies of the abstracts themselves with title and author lists.
