I go to UC Merced and I just discovered that it isn't fully accredited yet! I'm graduating in 2013.

If UCM isn't accredited by then....will my chances of medical school/PhD programs be diminished?

Also I have a chance to go to CSULB in the spring. If UCM doesn't gain accreditation should I just go to CSU Long Beach instead???

THANKS ;)

strong likelihood they will be fully accredited by this time next year. UCM students are eligible for Title IV student aid and all the rest of it.

my guess is that you have nothing to worry about. you'll be fine. if in doubt, call the admissions offices of medical schools you are interested in, but i bet they will say the same.

IF it was some no-name school, you might have to worry. However, its a UC school, everyone knows that its lack of accreditation is just a temporary formality. I can't imagine that this would matter. At all.
