My committee package has the option for me to write an autobiography. Did anyone have experience with this?

My university offers the option to attach a 3 page autobiography to my LOR package.

It sounds like a great idea, where I could expand on my personal statement. However, 3 pages of me revising paragraphs of my life story will take a lot of energy. Has anyone been given this option before, because I've never seen anyone talk about this. I'm curious if dental schools will actually consider checking the autobiography out.

My undergrad university requested an autobiography for my committee letter as well. However, I don't believe they sent it to the schools I applied to.. just used it to enhance my committee letter. I definitely think it would be a benefit to write one out, especially if you don't have a high DAT and gpa. At this point, you just want to get into dental school and you're going to have to do everything you can do.

Just a piece of advice: don't rewrite your PS in this autobiography. Use your 3 pages to expand on your character, your experiences and influence, your values, etc.
