My first choice...AT THIS MOMENT. Too early to tell them??????

So right NOW i think i know what my first choice is. I'd like to let them know before it's too late, but the reason i'm balking is because i know my decision could potentially change by feb 22. i don't want to wait to feb 21st to tell a program they are my 1st choice (way too late) but only then will know for sure. there are three school i am heavily considering and i waver almost daily. i'm sure this is one good reason why applicants who notify pd's that their institution is their first choice and get ranked in a position to match end up at another university. i want to be very professional, but i need to do what is best for me. please advise. many thanks.

It will make ZERO difference in the minds of the program if you tell them that you are in love with them. ZERO.

So go ahead and tell them. It won't change a thing.

I told all three.

Though for one I wrote "You are at the top of my list" and for two others I wrote, "I intend to put you at or near the top of my list."

I told my top program that they aree my very very, very, very, very most favorite program. My second choice, I told them that they are my very, very, very, most favorite program...and so on.

I think I'm almost drunk with lack of sleep....I just wanna go home 🙁
