Awwwww you guys! thanks thanks and more thanks for the compassion and empathy (ur gonna be great docs one day! hehe)!

My Master's GPA was 3.75 but I managed to screw it up when I took a couple of undergrad classes while doing the grad program and it went down to 3.4 which is really stupid! I was pretty mad when I found out they didn't divide it up! My Masters classes were all A's except the 3 B's I recently received because I had a baby (pregnant half my Masters!) and it was my first semester with my little munchkin. 🙂 I went through a lot to get that M.S. and so I hope Adcoms see what I went through (maybe I should add that to my personal statement...).

I haven't taken the MCAT yet since I still have to take my o-chems and physics. I plan on taking the MCAT in spring 2003 and applying then also. Seems far away when I write the "2003" but I know it will fly by! If I apply then I will not have taken any extra courses with which to boost up my GPA but I will see how things look then anyway.

That 2.73 is my cumulative GPA from undergrad. I don't know what my science GPA is - I'm figuring it out and will let ya know my breakdown when I get my li'l spreadsheet finished. 🙂

Oh by the way - our premed advisor SUCKS sooooo bad here! Even the UT Health Science Center med school knows he's awful!! Words gets around I guess. So I really have no one decent to talk to. I thought of going down to the med school and talking to the dean myself after I get my grades figured out. What do you think?

Also - when you say "low tier" schools are you talkin like Howard, or Finch, etc...? I was told that if one got into a lower tier school then getting a good slot in the residencies would be more difficult (like ya couldn't throw the name around vs. if you were at Johns Hopkinds etc)...is this true??

Again, a sincere thanks to you all. Wouldn't it be great to meet one or some of you one day in medical school!? 🙂

Thanks for the vote of confidence, people. I really needed to hear it!
