My sibling is an attending at the school's hospital where I'm applying to. Does this have an impact? Or only the medical school they attended?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Name drop for sure. If nothing else, it will demonstrate strong ties to the area.

Are they an attending working for the school at the hospital or are they just a doctor at the same hospital?

If the former, might matter a little or not at all.

If the latter, literally doesn’t matter

I hate to say this but there is the possibility that readers will know your sibling and not think highly of them. So, I'd say it might be okay to say "my sibling is an attending at __ Hospital" without giving the sib's name. You get any benefit there might be to showing ties to the location without the possibility that someone may think poorly of you because your sib is a @#%#.

It shows ties, and lets the school know you are familiar with their hospital. As LizzyM said, it's not necessary to mention their name.
