After 11 weeks of waiting and checking my application virtually everyday, I am finally verified. What did it take? ONE SIMPLE EMAIL!!! I emailed Nancy Tillinghast, AMCAS Director, on Friday afternoon. She responded on Sunday evening saying that my application would be verified by November 1st. This afternoon I checked yet again, and alas, my application was verified.

Thank you Ms. Tillinghast!!!!

Yes, I have to say Nancy's lovely. I called her on Friday and left a message on her voicemail explaining my situation. Called again today to check, and she said my application is under processing. I submitted 7/3, went through 2 "specialists" who placed me on priority and nothing happened....got the word from Nancy that some idiot put my file under financial hold for a check that was cleared for months!!!!!!

surgeon and bubblebear, I'm so glad for you both! I agree, the lady is a saint! Wish I'd known I could get action with a simple e-mail rather than a threatening letter. I guess her e-mail inbox will be rather full now! 🙂
