Hello, milmed. I'm an MS2 and a recently commissioned 2LT in the NG. I've been trying to coordinate DCC with my rotation schedule, but can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone about whether I need to take the 4-week DCC or whether I can take the 3 week DCC. Someone at Ft. Sill told me 2LTs were not authorized to take the 3-week DCC, citing AR 350-1-3, but I read the relevant part of that regulation and only see where it says that ARNG will take the 3-week DCC, and nothing about 2LTs.

I appreciate any help!

When I asked DCC, they told me physicians take the 3 week course, medical students take the 4

Last I knew physicians take the shorter 3 week course. We had no medical students in my rotation. All were nurses, PT's, MSC folks, etc..

Then again I did mine in September so that might have been why.
