For those that had been asking about the DO equivalent of MD?s AOA (Alpha Omega Alpha) national honor society, it is called Psi Sigma Alpha otherwise known as the National Osteopathic Scholastic Honor Society.

What are the requirements?

does psi sigma alpha occur at every school? who is in charge of inviting/ nominating students?

how is this organization different from sigma sigma phi?

Hmmm, I thought it was Sigma Sigma Phi.

I'm pretty sure its sigma sigma phi also.

Okay, so which is it? How do you find out more about this organization?

Sigma Sigma Phi and Psi Sigma Alpha are the two honors fraternities for DO students. Sigma Sigma Phi is for those students in the top 30% of their class who have also shown service to their community, school, and fellow students. Psi Sigma Alpha on the other hand is for students in the top 15% of their class, period. No extracurriculars needed.
