National Student Loan Crisis

I apologize in advance if there is already a thread about this, but I did a quick check and didn't see one.

As I've been listening to the news, I've heard that some of the fall out from the housing market crash was an increase in the interest rate and the difficulty of acquiring a student loan. Has anyone done any research on how this will affect getting loans for dental school?

It may affect private educational loans, but I'm pretty sure government backed loans are safe.

This is pure speculation.
