What is life like at Bremerton and Pendleton for Navy docs and their families?

I've served several two week reservist assignments at Pendleton in anesthesia, which I know is not your question. Pendleton is in a gorgeous part of Southern California, awesome weather, close enough to San Diego. It's a USMC base and not exactly Air Force/Hilton status, but still nice. The base itself is very scenic.

I've never stepped foot in Bremerton, but have a sister who used to live in the Seattle area. The rainy weather makes for serious Seasonal Affective Disorder. The head of anesthesia at Bremerton is Commander Patrick Sinopole. Call the hospital and speak with him - he's a straight shooter. We worked together in Naples Italy and Iceland. Tell him Stafford says hello.
