In the navy, after your internship year, which is the nest option if you don't want to do your residency in the navy and you want to be home the most?

Thanks

If you don't want to do your residency in the Navy, and you are unable to land a civilian deferral, then you can do your internship, then head off to GMO-land. I doubt you'll really spend all that much time at home, though, with the current international situation.

You can do GMO in San Diego. You could get a ship out of San Diego, you could get a flight squadron out of Miramar with the Marines as a FS. If you consider Carlsbad San Diego, you could get stationed with the Marines on the ground. There are also a few clinic GMO billets in San Diego, but those are few and far between. While you may be techincally stationed in San Diego, you may be surprised at the amount of time you actually spend there.
