I'm currently on AT at Bethesda with per diem according to my orders. Quick question:

How do we get reimbursed for food? Do we automatically get the per diem rate or do we have to submit every $3.78 receipt from Subway for the whole month?

you get the food per diem automatically when you turn in your travel voucher at the end. You do however need to save your hotel receipt, car rental, and that kind of thing. You can even save your dry cleaning and ATM receipts to try and get reimbursed for that.
