Navy Reserves during Civilian Residency

I think the last time I posted on SDN was 5 years ago... At that time my plan was to GMO and get out. And it still is! I'm about to do my last year as a GMO and am starting my ERAS application for civilian residency now. Pretty happy that things have gone to plan.

But now I am considering remaining in the Reserves after I get out. Anyone have experience with this? I couldn't find any previous threads from people who transitioned from Active Duty to the reserves, while also starting a civilian residency.
