I know the Navy offers the HPSP scholarship to MD and DO students but I am wondering if there is a similar scholarship offered to Podiatry students as well. If not, is there anything remotely close to the HPSP that the Navy offers? I am looking for some financial assistance and would not mind joining the Navy and sacrifice my time to get it.

If anyone has any specific information or could point me to the right website to obtain this information I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

i don't know about current programs, but my Room mate at OIS (officer impersonation school, or officer indoctrination school) back in 99 was a podiatrist getting ready to go on active duty.

He mentioned that the Navy had about 25 or 26 Podiatrists at that time.

I don't remember the details, but if you were to contact a medical recruiter, they could probably tell you more.

You should also do yourself a favor, and look through the rest of this forum to find out if your really ready to sign away so much of your life for a little money.

The Navy does not offer HPSP for Podiatry.
It offers HPSP for Medical, Dental, Optometry and masters level PA.
