hi,
this is a ques from released anat 1991.

the ques is--the calcification of a tooth begins at
the ans is --DEJ
but in the explanation to tis it was written that -the actual sequence of maturing rods is from cusp down towards the cervical line .
These two thins the ans n explanation are contradictory i guess ...can someone explain :confused:

Yes it could be contradictory but you have to remember the steps of tooth formation wich implies the the activation of odontoblast followed by ameloblast in the dej. THe question talks about the calcification of the tooth as a whole wich starts at dentinoeamel junction.
