Hey folks,

Just wanting to get some advice from my fellow SDNers...you guys/gals have been very helpful to me throughout this application process...

I'm a UCLA student in my fifth year and thinking about graduating now since I have completed all my requirements...but does anyone know if med schools care if you graduate early (in terms of putting June on AMCAS)? Do they really even care?

Also, anyone in the LA area know where I can take chem lab without the course(since I've already taken that)..any jc's or colleges???

Thanks! Good luck to everyone this application cycle.

I'm a UCLA grad. You're not graduating early...you're a 5th year. No med schools don't care what month you graduate.

You should take the chem labs at UCLA while you're still there. You can hold off graduating until after the summer. You can try calling santa monica community, however it's my experience that JC courses usually integrate their chem labs as part of their core courses.

You may be questioned at your interviews as to why you chose to take your chem labs at a JC rather than at UCLA. They may think that you're trying to avoid taking them at a more rigorous institute.

hope that helps.
