Need advice on transfering residencies

Hi,
I'm at a combined residency program and hoping to transfer to an Internal Medicine Residency at a different hospital. I would just like some advice, should I apply through ERAS, or contact schools individually regarding open positions. I would really appreciate if anyone could let me know what the pros and cons of each method are.
