I would be content with going to mayo for cheaper. They may technically be a new school, but they know how to get you matched and have great residency programs.

But if you feel like UCI would enable you to do better than go ahead. Letter of intents dont matter much to most schools.

I'd go to Mayo. Don't worry about the AZ vs MN campus. The AZ campus holds the Mayo name and reputation for sure.
