My company (Diabetes Research Center) in Tustin, CA is looking for clinical research coordinators. Full time, entry level, $10/hr starting.

Company Description:
Diabetes Research Center is a private company dedicated to diabetes care and clinical trials in the areas of diabetes, hypertension and hyperlipidemia. We have been conducting clinical trials for over 25 years in the Orange County area. Currently employs over 12 full and part-time professional, support personnel and consultants.

Qualifications:
Desired: College graduate or senior in a major college/university, majoring in Biological Science area. B.S. in Biological Science preferred but not required.

Job Description:
Under the general supervision of a physician, the coordinator will function as a clinical research assistant for diabetic patients. Duties will include, but will not be limited to involvement with specific research protocols involving the use of investigational drugs or devices. Such duties may include processing of blood samples, performance of EKG's, nerve testing, or other physiological monitoring functions. 1-3 month training period (part-time), after this period (full-time). 1. Participates in national meetings to review protocols, training and certification for multi-center research projects 2. Processes and packages all study labs for shipping 3. Processes daily labs for clinical laboratory and preparation of specimens for transport 4. Updates and files lab results for patients, assisting in the front office.

ok, i know the pay kinda sucks but it's been a really great experience for me, lots of patient contact, great opportunity for shadowing and LORs. plus, you'll get to work with me! what could be cooler? 😉
 
Sounds cool, maybe you could recruit someone who will be applying next cycle. That way they could be around for the entire year.
