Something strange I've noticed is that there are some threads that are started over and over - like the ones about "any tall white kids applying? "Any non-descript upper middle class Jewish boys out there?" "Calling all bald amish premeds" all making the same point - and everyone seems to think they're new and HILARIOUS every time - but then people make multiple posts about actual med school related things, like when Harvard decisions are sent out, and people flip like someone stole their baby. Why is this?

I don't know. It's SDN. Just roll with it.

You gotta learn to be selective in which threads to read. The skill will develop with time.

Either that or keep giving consistent responses to the same kinds of threads over and over again. Kind of like an endless game of "whack a mole". 😀

Haha I keep all my babies closely guarded so I can save my temper for SDN....

To be fair, the specific reason that I flipped out yesterday was the poor form of titling the thread with exclamation points... my heart is just not up to hitting 200 bpm for no reason. Although, as far as multiples of the same thread goes: dude, you have to read back all of two or three pages to find the other copies of it. If you're about to go to med school, you're smart enough to do that. I don't want 7 of my classmates asking me "which bone is the ulna again?" because they can't open their book to find out.

And I don't mean to sound bitchy, so I hope I don't. I'm nice in real life, I swear!

I blame Bush.
