I apologize in advance if this topic has been discussed ad nauseam. I'm an OMS-1 that will be taking COMLEX when it goes P/F. I'm heavily leaning towards Peds/FM/IM (but mostly peds). I am not in any leadership/club roles, I've been taking this first year to just adjust to the pace of med school. I wasn't planning to do research over the summer, but seeing as how I will no longer have a way to stratify myself via a board score, is it worth it to do research if I want to end up in peds/FM residency that hopefully is in a city? If I do peds there's a possibility I might want to specialize but that's tbd. Just unsure of what to do. Thank you!
