So I've been reading the forums, I'm currently in pre-med, hope to apply to med school soon.
However I've wanted to do research before I get in about various specalities and what not.
I read on this forum about "medical student's survival guide" By Steven R. Polk, however I've had a hard time finding it. What intrested me is that it covered all aspects (of course in his opinion) of a specality, stress, workload, what kind of stuff they do, life stye they hold, hours, type of paitents they deal with etc.
Like I said I haven't been able to find it, is there a reason for that? Are there any other books similar to this? Although I am in Canada, and numerous things MAY be different, I still want to read about it 🙂
Thanks
