NEED HELP WITH PHYSIOLOGY HOMEWORK!

Why are beta blockers used for Wolff-Parkinson White syndrome? I know it has something to do with blocking the calcium, but is that it? Does it just block the calcium so that the cardiac muscle can't contract?
