Hey fellow premeds,
I know it may sound stupid, but I need to know the molecular weight of normal human procollagen I (in kDA) but just absolutely cannot find it in the literature. Anyone?
greatly appreciated...

humm...wouldn't it depend on how long it is? (And doesn't it usually as a trimer) I also didn't realize it came as procollagen, I knew collagenase the enzyme did...but I recommend looking up some early papers by John Jefferies he was the one who discovered I believe the promoter on collagenase and has patented several C14 collagen assays so there might be something under his name
