try to retake part 1 and try to get a higher score.

you can apply to new york and also take part 1 again
dont get disheartened.

Hey just go ahead and apply...dont loose heart. See the brighter side - you passed the exam. So when you retake part 1 you know what are your shortcomings and how to prepare better. All the best.
