Hey everybody,
I'm an incoming senior in high school and in a dual enrollment program. This Fall semester will be my 3rd semester of dual enrollment at my local CC. So far, my grades are as follows:
Intro to Psychology: A
British Lit: A
Freshman Comp 1 : A
Trigonometry: B
Fundamentals of Speech: B
Getting a B in speech has really dropped my confidence level, and I'm really scared to take classes that would be considered harder than other classes, so looking for some advice?
I'm taking Precalculus Algebra this summer, and am aiming for an A.
So, here's my potential schedule for the Fall:
Calculus 1
Intro to Anthropology
Freshman Comp 2
Would you recommend I take another class or replace maybe Intro to Anthro with a different class?
Question for you guys: Should I take a science class (Intro to Bio) this Fall semester or even Spring semester, or should I leave it for Uni?
Some potential reasons for me to take Bio during my senior year:
1. In my opinion, I'm fully capable to take this class seriously and to understand that I must commit almost everything to memory (and not to just study for a good grade on my tests). If I'm able to retain all of the information I will learn, I'll sort of get a "head start" on studying for the MCAT.
2. My semesters at Uni won't be too crammed as compared to a schedule that would require me to take Bio 1 – allowing m some more flexibility both in my schedule and in time.
Also, something I've heard is that if I do decide to take Intro to Bio (or any science class) my senior year, I will have to take upper level bio classes (or any science class) during my time at Uni. Is this true?
In other words, should I take a science class my senior year of high school, although I may have to take harder classes at Uni (I've heard the same about math as well, and I'm pretty pitiful at math, so I'm scared to take Calc 1 and Calc 2 Senior year, and then have to take even higher level math classes at Uni).
Thanks.
