Hey guys,

I'm trying to decide between these two schools. Here is what I know so far when comparing them:

NEOMED:

- 85k a year (that's without living expenses)
- in Rootstown, Ohio so nothing to do at all
- Unranked school

MSUCOM:

- 65k a year
- in East Lansing which is really nice
- Top DO in the nation

Any and all help, advice, and criticism will be truly helpful!

Depending on what specialty you might wanna do, it might be more beneficial to go MD even if it's an unranked school.

Any idea if you could get in-state tuition after the first year? I have the same question as an OOSer for NEOMED

MSUCOM is a really really great DO school that has a vast statewide campus system for clinical rotations that contain all types of residency programs. We have people match ENT, ortho, ophtho, derm every year. Granted you will have to work really hard regardless of MD or DO to match in these specialties. MD will grant you more doors typically but MSUCOM can get you into a specialty you want.
