come on everyone, lets all play nice. =) i frequent this board quite a bit(5-6 times a day), and i can understand why this forum provides a unique and semi-addicting interface where several prospective physicians and researchers wish to share their ideas. Of course, its also a great place to learn quite a bit about the path to becoming a physician and how other students our age are getting there.

..at times though--like last night for example--i find myself browsing through threads up until 3am. Then it hits me--there are probably better things i could be doing with my time/life. Don't get me wrong, a lot of preparation is required to go into medicine, and this board provides a litany of tips and experiences to learn from...but sometimes i start to worry as to whether i am really "living" anymore.

i gotta be honest, i dont think we all are loser, dorks, but sometimes the **** written in this forum is a bit much for me. people brag, some people post pictures in the hope of someone telling them they are hot. for the most part the posts start off with good intentions, but people get incredibly "junior high" after one or two serious posts.

most of the **** written is just a waste of time and cyberspace (fill it with more porn). write personal messages to eachother. i hardly ever post, but i read on here a lot. i feel it entirely unnecesary to reply to every friggin post that gets started....i mean really, do you have that much to say....and if you do, spend more time with your friends.

as for the med students being dorks....im at a loss for words....i just hope i can find a few mellow people to hang out with....im not competetive and i really dont care to lick ass all day. i just wanna be a good doctor....no more, no less....
