Had a question...
Are there any universities that offer this unique combination as a possible major for pre-med. undergraduate? Thanks for the replies

the university of pennsylvania offers an interdisciplinary major called "Biological Basis of Behavior," which is a mix of neurobiology and behevioral science. it's one of the more popular majors among the pre-med types. the flip side to that is that since it's loaded with pre-meds, it's ubercompetitive. but it's extremely interesting.

Emory offers something like this too....its called NBB (neuroscience and behavioral biology). its actually not as competitive as majoring in bio at Coke University (as far as i remember) cause i think you can avoid taking genetics, which was the true bio major/pre med weed out class at my undergrad. they could take classes in a variety of depts (bio, anthro, chem, pysch, nbb)

dEEp,

since you're from Cali, you might have heard of the major offered by UC Davis w/ that exact name: Neurobiology, Physiology, & Behavior. I almost chose that when I was an undergrad there--until I realized that there were too many bright premeds to compete w/ in that crowd...!

npb.ucdavis.edu for more info.

Michigan offers the "Biopsychology and Cognitive Science" Major, which fits in with the topics you listed. It's more based on psychology than biology, however, so if you're looking for a real biology based major, I wouldn't go with it. But if you're really looking at behavior, then it's a great major.

Yeah I was an NPB major at Davis. Definitely mostly premeds, but its an awesome major. Ever heard of the chicken lab?

I'm an NBB major -- the biology department is pissed b/c we're stealing away all their students

Its quickly becoming one of the most popular majors -- you take 5 neuroscience core classes and 5 other electives from the biology, psychology or anthropology department, along with the basic scieces (bio, chem, etc.).

The program is flexible, so you can work out WHICH classes you want to take and WHEN you want to take them. If you want to go the behavioral route, take the psych classes. If you're more into neurobiology, the bio classes are the way to go.
