Never heard anything from two schools, what's the deal with that

so, i never got any sort of a reply from BU or GW, what is the deal, they can cash my check but can't send me a rejection letter. i think that is just plain rude. this happen to anyone else?

and i hear, if i don't get any sort of reply, that means they have to accept me, hehe. i don't really think this is true, but come on, common curtesy.

I never heard anything from Drew or UIC. Come on, guys, it is May! The least you can do is send me my rejection for my secondary fees!

Yeah-- this happened to me with one of my schools... the least "prestigious" of all the schools I applied to!

My stats were far enough above their averages that I think they didn't bother granting me an interview etc., but I still think it's pretty rude that they could cash my check so quickly and not send me a rejection letter!

I called them and complained, telling them at this point I had no interest in their school anymore and was planning to matriculate elsewhere, but how frustrated I was at their lack of communication. They apologized profusely and said I should have gotten a letter telling me of my status at some earlier date. Three days letter I got the rejection letter in my box.

It is ridiculous-- I'm not at all upset about being rejected-- but at least have the dignity to send SOMETHING. My application there was complete in late AUGUST-- and not a single word until May when I finally decided to call them...and all of this is after their interview season was over, meaning I had no hope of an interview and was guaranteed rejection. All it takes is a simple letter, people! 🙂

Sorry for the rant. Wright State admissions office, you suck.

I had a similar problem with Wright State. It was my "safety" school. My stats were well above their average, yet they were the very last school I heard from. They weren't very nice when I called on the phone either. Maybe some schools just don't care.

Never got a post-secondary response from Northwestern. I sent them an email a while ago asking them what the deal was and they never even replied to that.

I didn't hear at all from UIC post secondary either.
UIC isn't all that anyway, I don't even know why I wasted the money.🙄

AMCAS should have a guideline where if they don't give you a reply to your secondary by a certain time, they have to refund the application fee.

wow - i read this really quickly and saw it minus the should, and I thought.... sinai's rejection letter has got to be coming soon or I can get my refund... Those bums still haven't gotten around to rejecting me...or it could be like the dream I had that I got into Harvard without even applying.
