Hi! I'm new to this forum and was wondering if you guys can help me out with something. Everyone says that applying early is very important. Adsaas apps come out early june. But how does this work? Lets say I submit the adsaas part as early as possible... but i dont submit the DAT scores and letters of rec till july or august...is my app still given preference over someone who submits their adsaas after mine? Im just curious because i know if you apply early it increases your chances of acceptance. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Yes, there can be an advantage to applying early especially if you have lower stats. You can send your application in during June and take your DAT's at a later date. Last year, i submitted my application in June and took the DAT in August. My application was not even received by the schools until august. The AADSAS is notorious for being slow so you do have a little buying time. Keep in mind though, that most dental schools won't look at your file until all of your information is received. Most schools however, don't start looking at applications or grant interviews until late august and most are in september, due to their concentration on the incoming class. Hope this helps!
