To All prospective LECOM students and class of 2004-
I found this news regarding construction of new facilities at LECOM. Construction is underway and is set to be completed by next spring/summer...great news for all attending and prospectives:
Several students representing all four classes were invited during the lunch hour to view the blueprints of the new, improved and student friendlier LECOM expansion. To be honest, it is very impressive and very exciting. Some of the highlights were expansion of the parking lot with two entrances (W. Grandview and Ellsworth) with convenient drop off locations, a large glass atrium (4 stories!) A new library with wireless access, as well as a large computer station and seating including a lounge by the periodicals for up to 180 people will be located on the 2nd floor of the new wing of the school. The bookstore will be moved close to the entrance of the new library. The expansion will be facing W. Grandview and have 5 floors with a parking garage underneath for visitors.
The existing bookstore,interview/conference room and locker room with our mailboxes, will be torn down and opened up as a large student lounge with a Barnes and Noble type cafe
... Construction will begin sometime this
