I will be starting dental school this fall and was wondering if anyone could offer any advice on anything I could do to better prepare myself or get ahead for the fall. Also, what kind of hours are were you/are you putting in during your first year...does it ever let up, when you start your clinics, etc. Any advice/help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks.

go on vacation and have fun... do stuff you've always wanted to do, but didn't have the time. When you go to school, you'll have a lot of studying to do, so have fun while you can.

If you really do want to get ahead, you could possibly study for general bio classes you don't have a strong background in.

I'm taking anatomy right now, and I feel like my life would have been much easier if I had taken some kind of anatomy class in undergrad or if I had studied independently during the summer before school started. But at the same time, if I can go back to the past, I still would not do anything differently. (ie I wouldn't do extra studying before entering dental school). Like the others say, you'll be spending so much time for studying in dental school anyway, might as well have fun while you can.

I'm first year and this quarter, we have 34hrs/wk of classes. It sounds crazy, but you get used to it
