how does the non-resident "resident" tuition work...it seems like all the out of staters at MN actually get the in-state tuition...
how does the rest of financial aid for MN work? i heard from them earlier that they couldn't do anything for me until i get a legit acceptance•••••Yes, the Karleen is only open to Minnesota residents. As far as tuition goes, I think they give in-state tuition to most everyone. As an out-of-stater, it's a pretty darn good "scholarship!" Further, the word is that there just isn't that much free money floating around Minnesota. But with tuition going up every year (thanks, Jessi!) I think they're trying to spread what little money there is around a bit--I'm not expecting any more free money really--they already threw me a bone!
Iowa offered me a large scholarship to matriculate there, but I emailed my withdrawal late yesterday--a very hard decision! But now I'm committed--I'll be at the U of MN for sure next year.
