does anyone know about the new orleans orthopedic programs, theres 3 and ive heard mixed reviews. Ochsner, Tulane and LSU. Ochsner seems to have a well-defined structure and great staff but private and may not have the hands on experience that Tulane and LSU can offer. Between Tulane and LSU they both have university hospital to get operative experience but less staff on both sides. Ive also heard that LSU ships their residents to lafayette and baton rouge for months at a time- what if you have a family? what are they supposed to do while your in another city for 3-6 months every year. Tulane sounds like you at least can stay in one place but is under alot of transition... any thoughts

I'm pretty sure LSU makes you rotate through Lafayette, BR and NO. They said to apply somewhere else if you feel you would rather not do that.

I can't speak for Tulane or Ochsner.
