I've interviewed at the three New Orleans programs and for personal reasons do not want to leave the area. How would you rank them?

LSU-NO (no Charity hospital anymore, using 3-4 local hospitals +/- University hospital "in the spirit of Charity")

Tulane (same as above, not sure what's going on with Tulane hospital)

Ochsner Clinic (didn't skip a beat during the hurricane, supposedly now taking indigent patients as well)

I know how I feel about each program, but am curious about their out-of-state reputations post Katrina. By the way, I am looking to do a nephrology fellowship upon graduation.

Any input is greatly appreciated!!

I'm looking to do Cardio after IM. I interviewed at Oschner and LSU. LSU matched people to Ochsner for cardio as well as into their own program, so to me it seems like the better program. They seem to be stable despite the lack of University/Charity.

I didn't interview at Tulane, but suspect it has a better national reputation.
