What do you think is the best way to prepare for the OPP Portion of COMLEX?
I highly recommend this board reivew book written by Steve Simmons, D.O. He trained in family medicine, is doing a sports medicine fellowship, and was a former OMM teaching fellow. It's in depth enough for all three parts. It's available at:
I was recommended this OPP (Osteopathic Principles and Practices) review book for COMLEX called OPP Crunch. They have a web page at
What do you guys think about this performance based COMLEX level 2 in 2004?
I'm thinking about taking a board review class, but I'm not sure which one will be high yield.
I think that the performance based COMLEX is a good idea. The USMLE people are doing it too. After observing the clinical skills of some residents, I get the feeling most med students blow off clinical skills labs in med school.
I agree with David that Dr. Simmons is awesome. Didn't know about the new DO OMT book... when did it come out?
Good luck to all COMLEX2 takers.....
I got the new OPP Crunch in the mail, It's awesome!!!!!
I think it came out very recently.
Is COMLEX level one soon to become a computer based exam?
I here that it is under consideration. They did a survey of DO students a couple of years ago and most were actually against a computer based exam and wanted to keep paper and pencil----I don't know why...
You would think the students would perfer the computer based exam because it would only be a one day exam similar to USMLE.
What is the ISBN for OPP Crunch.
