I am an upcoming Dec grad 🙂 and am going to be applying to peds for the upcoming match. I would like to know from the new interns (or other pgy2 or pgy3 residents) about their programs, particularly Brown or anything from VA down the atlantic coast to florida. I'm trying to narrow down my choices before I start the match process soon. I'd love to know the following:
1) how many hours is typical
2) how much call your intern year
3) difficulty in getting in
4) quality of residents and teaching
5) camraderie with other residents, faculty, staff, nurses
6) number of patients (too many, too few, just right?)
7) cost/availability of decent housing
I know much of this info is on scutwork but so much of that info is old and much of isnt found for many programs i'm interested in. Thanks in advance for any help!
