I am a new resident who is starting his intern year at SUNY Downstate in June. I am looking for an apartment in Brooklyn while finishing my last rotation. Targeted move in date is June 1 for a June 18 start date. Current plan is to rent a studio apartment or 1 bedroom. I thought I would post this message to ask if there are any other new residents moving to Brooklyn for residency at either SUNY Downstate or Maimonides who would consider a roommate. Both hospitals are close to one another.
Good housing is expensive in this area and my budget is $1500. For $3000 you could get a much nicer two bedroom in a better area than what you would find for $1500.
