Hello,

I am a Sophomore at Slippery Rock University, Majoring in Exercise Science. I transferred to my school from another 4-yr college, so I am little behind in my classes. Anywho, I have a few things ??? to ask so I hope y'all won't mind answering them for me.

1. Does taking Pre-Calc at my CC hurt my chances of Med School?
2. Does Trig Based Physics fufill Physics Pre-Reqs?
3. I am becoming an EMT..how will ADCOMS view this?
4. Do I get an edge if I have taken classes such as Genetics and Anat & Phys?

If anyone has any suggestions for me, I am ready and willing to do what it takes.

3. Depends - if you just get the certificate, it will mean nothing. If you work somewhere and get clinical experience with it, it may help
4. No edge in terms of admissions, but it might help with the MCAT

precalc at your CC probably wont matter.
Trig based fulfills physics requirement.
Emt certainly will help. Id say couple it with other medical experience.
Many pre-meds take genetics and anatomy. It will look good if you do well in them, but just having taken the classes wont separate you much.

Well I am going to do some shadowing and whatnot..hope that helps as well.
