I only know the top 10... got them from the guy who posted on TPR about law rankings; he has the new issue.

<a href="http://discuss.review.com/forums/Thread.cfm?CFApp=6&Thread_ID=324567&mc=74#Message2906572" target="_blank">TPR Thread</a>

Personally I think this is great. Now maybe some of the peeps hoarding 10 acceptances or so will give up one or two of them. I wonder if there's a correlation b/t US NEWS ranking and withdrawal letters? Haha, I hope so!! Damn waitlists need to start moving!!! *fingers crossed*

Why would he get the issue on Wednesday?

So you are saying Stanford and Yale both dropped?

Nah...I don't believe those rankings....

Scooby - I believe it. The link on to the TPR thread has a link on it to a page where someone scanned the page with the new Law rankings, so it's clear someone has the new issue.

I think they're legit. Check the link I posted earlier... the guy definitely seemed to know what he was talking about (although he was admittedly a bit weird).

Hmmm...maybe so...I don't see any date on the page though...it just says it at the top...but you are saying the guy isn't a typical TPR user?

Judging from his preoccupation with nuts, I would say that he is a typical TPR user.

But, I think he's being honest.

Hehe, yeah what was up with the nuts?

c'mon guys, lets start analyzing... Duke dropped 2 places, and I'm guessing it's cause JWill is a goat who can't hit his free throws. Stanford dropping out of the top 10... hmm, probably due to the fact that Casey Jacobson just declared for the NBA draft. Michigan moved up... must have been (uhh think coop... mediocre football season, poor bball... got it!) the fact that they are in the hockey final four this week. Nuts! I wish more of the top 10 played sports. Lets see... Hopkins, despite the research scandals of the past year was able to hold onto the #2 slot. Must have been that our lacrosse team is off to a solid 6-1 start and looking to send me out of baltimore with a national title! Go Jays!

any other theories?

who effin cares? c'mon you guys just want to practice medicine right... Could one of you be so kind and explain to me the big deal behind the rankings. So what if you went to the 9th ranked school instead of the 1st. The next year it could be the 2nd or 1st ranked school. Are rankings important for going into academic medicine, i.e. research and teaching?? I know it doesn't make a hill o' beans when you are out trying to start a practice etc....Don't believe me? ask any doc...

Coop - on that view, it's no wonder Arizona didn't make it - they can't rebound to save their lives! :D

hey coop! i have a feeling that u.maryland jumped from #43 to #11.. their football team won ACC, went to the orange bowl, then the terps won ncaa b-ball !!!!

the jays better not win a championship the year after i leave...bastards! i knew hopkins would try to screw me one more time.

•••••come on mr alum, feel a little pride, not spite!

chef, that's the spirit. So we have Maryland #11, gotta give props to Miami for the football title at #12, UConn (women's bball title) should make the leap to #13.

The only school I care about on the new list is UF. Did it drop or rise?

DOWN WITH UF!!!

Sorry, Cobragirl. <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" /> They asked for it!

i just checked their website and their old stats are up? where did u get these new rankings . . . and i dont know what TPR is or whatever you guys said

TPR = The Princeton Review = another med school board frequented by people who like to talk about their nuts, I suppose. :)

And I trust the rankings. It's just a bit unofficial, shall we say... Newstands usually get copies of magazines before their actual release, and are told to release them on a certain day. So, he just let them out a bit early... :)

Wow? Stanford is out of the top 10!!!! That's hard to believe. The Farm no longer has any bragging right then. :)

Ok kids, lets relax and use the gift of <a href="http://www.usnews.com/usnews/edu/grad/rankings/med/medindex.htm" target="_blank">the internet</a> . Which is where results are posted, of course.

Of course ratings are meaningless for us mortals, who won't actually get into one of these schools. :)

Any surprises anyone?...Stanford knocked off top 10?...Michigan and UW moving up?

Damn! ouch! Duke dropped 2 spots to #5 and WashU jumped a point to #3. Now I'm going to have to go to WashU for sure :p *frantically packing already* :D

Duke, Penn, and WashU seem to all bounce back and forth. Maybe they've got some kind of agreement - you can have third place this year, but I get it next year!! :)

Yes, I was surprized Stanford dropped off the top 10. Still, if you have a copy of the full thing, you would see that their reputation score is very strong (both by peers and by residency directors). And really, it is the opinion of the residency directors that is really important, right?? :)

Harvard's residency directors' score is only 4.7!!! I want a 5.0 or at least a 4.9, damn it!!! :D :D :D
