Does anyone read the questions before doing the passages? I did that for my ACT reading comp and it helped but Kaplan says not to do it...It kinda makes sense to do it then you can kinda focus on the details...Plus when they throw in subtle words I always waste time looking for the damn thing...
Any Thoughts?

Don't really know-- I haven't ever read the questions first. How much practice have you put in for verbal?

Thats my wildcard, I've just done 5 Kaplans, 4r, 5r, 6r verbals...I just don't agree with a lot of their explanations but I'm doing well enough 9-12 that I dont wanna change anything...

I don't think that would be helpful. Just jot down quick little notes on the side as you read so you know where to find stuff when you need it. Also, the Monday before the MCAT probably isn't the best time to be testing new strategies.

Don't change what you're doing this close to the test.

i wanted highlighters to highlite stuff from the passages; too bad they're banned..still can't understand why

and yes i read the questions first

do what's best for you regardless of what Kaplan suggests. But don't change your srategies now unless you have time to practice withe them.

Good luck.

Kaplan's strategy is to make money, not to raise your score. Stick with the method that works for you, and hopefully it doesn't involve note-taking.

no time to read Qs
plus knowing what to look out for derails me bc i try to be lazy and skip/ pay more attention to only some parts
and getting the big pic is way to important for this exam
so my say is no : this aint the SAT or ACT ..we in da' big leages boi' * spits *

i just took the last EK 101 verbal test, # 11 and i scored a 10....i hope that on the real thing i can get better...i got a 9 on the april exam...but I think that was due to the massive problems i had during the Physics section ( I had to randomly guess on 20 questions)
