NHSC Acceptance Letters Mailed Yesterday!

Hey Everyone,

I just thought I would let you know.. we should hear about NHSC very soon. I called NHSC today and was told that they mailed out acceptance letters yesterday, are mailing out alternate letters today and will mail out declination letters tomorrow. Wow, man I'm nervous.. Good luck to you all and God bless.

Also, put a post up if you get the letter - that way I'll be even more nervous!

I got the good news via Fedex today. It had arrived a couple of days ago and my neighbor had it since no one was home to receive it. What a great way to top a day of endless lectures and studying on campus. Thank God. It is definitely a great day. Good luck to all of those NHSC applicants waiting to hear back and congrats to those who got the good news this week!!! 🙂

I read my letter at 2am after driving back from LA to Sacramento. I screamed and woke up my mom. I dont think theres a better scholarship program out right now. Its basically full ride plus spending cash. Plus I still get to use my schools scholarship to pay for my entire 4th year. The thing is I was gonna serve in an underserved community whether I got it or not. But cancelling loans and waiting till Nov. 7th is gonna be hard, my school said they might spot me some cash until the money kicks in...

I got notified today I got the scholarship from the Alternate List. They told me the following information:

There were 3000 applicants:

There were 1000 interviews:

There were 150 scholarships.

There were 48 alternates.

The scholarships were split among DDS/DO/MD. I got the impression that there were more DO and DDSs then MDs.

I got notified today I got the scholarship from the Alternate List. They told me the following information:

Congrats Ringo! I just hope there is another one out there for me.....but I'm not holding my breath.
