anyone ever heard of a resident getting a study funding by NIH? I'm seeing that a lot of the application requirements require a level of at least assistant professorship or being faculty etc....

    just curious.

Are residents eligible for any funding? If the resident is the lead investigator. Of course a mentor would be involved as well.

    thanks for any thoughts.

Most people apply for K grants, is what I understant. They require a mentor. I don't know how the funding works or if it conflicts with ACGME issues or other issues. Maybe a PD can step in and awnser.
