NJMS Class of '07 Lunch

Did anyone go to the NJMS accepted students luncheon today? I couldn't make it, so I was wondering if anyone could fill me in on what it was like . . .

For anyone else that couldn't make it, there's supposed to be another one on May 30th. I guess by then I'll know for sure whether I'll be matriculating there or not.

Am I the only person who thought it was bizarre to hold such an event so early in the process?

yeah, i couldn't make it either. and i thought it was weird, too, to have it so early, especially since they haven't finished accepting people yet. but i guess they're just interested in wooing those they've already accepted. i'm guessing it was probably lunch, a more extensive tour of the facilities, and probably lots of chances to talk to students and maybe some faculty.
was anyone able to make it?

Hey, guys.

I was at the lunch. Dr. Heinrich said he'd be sending out an email to those who couldn't make it today, so don't worry. You didn't really miss out on too much anyway. We had a nice lunch, and got to talk to some first years. Then there were some speakers on financial aid, housing, etc. It was just an opportunity to get some more information, but I basically already knew most of what was discussed. I guess the most important things that they covered were financial aid related. They said that you should fill out your FAFSA by early April, since they try to send out the awards during that month. Also, there will be a parent's lunch sometime in April. It was a nice day, but you only really missed out on the free mugs they gave us. 🙂
