I just wanted to let future medical students know how important it is thoroughly research medical schools before going.

I am currently in medical school, and just words of advice.

Go to a medical school that cares about the students, NJMS is not of one of them.

They are very antangonistic against their medical students, their adminstration does not care about what benefits their students but what benefits them.

Getting into medical school is a great honor, but having a supportive medical school goes a long way.

NJMS is in too much flux, I got into NJMS and RWJ and other great schools.

I would choose RWJ any day if I decided to stay in New Jersey again, so for future medical students be wary of NJMS

Can you elaborate on this? I too got into both schools, but got a better "feeling" for some reason from NJMS than RWJ. And the people who took me on tours were really cool and seemed to have a great relationship with the NJMS faculty. Are you currently going to NJMS? I agree with you that a supportive med school is important, I just want a little bit more clarification from you.

o boy..i was gonna let this thread just die, but i guess it didnt die. So about the support at NJMS..its great! Every administrator/faculty wants to help the students. It seems that the op isnts a student at NJMS, so he/she really cant comment. However, I can bc i actually go there! Its a great school with great clinical training. If I had the choice to do this all over again...NJMS would still be my choice. If you have more questions about NJMS..lemme know.
