This post is a bit premature because I have been accepted at NJMS but only waitlisted at Einstein. I have been pretty set on attending NJMS because I love the schools diversity, the staff, low tuition, urban location, and the early patient contact. I spent last summer there for an enrichment program. But I cant help to ignore that Einstein has a better reputation, less lecture hours, and cheap housing for students that is right across the street from the school that you cant beat. I have no idea what I'll do if I get off that waitlist but some input may help me decide now. Thanks.

Ohhh that's a toughy. My cousin graduated from NJMS about 3 years ago & really enjoyed her time their. But my mother graduated from Einstein quite a few years ago & she feels nothing but love for the school. As do I since I "grew up" in those very apartment buildings you speak of (my mom a single mother of 3 little ones went she went to school there). I have also done a summer research project out at Einstein & have many mentors out there. So I strongly urge you to consider Einstein if you get in. Aside from possibly the tuition Einstein does have those same "charateristics" at NJMS.

I'm sure you will thrive at either location though - best of luck!
