So I've been reading the forums and I really have no clue what the best thing for me to do is. So, I suppose I'll just ask.

I need to improve my GPA. Currently it's around 3.0 with a science that is terrible..maybe 2.5 or something. I'm planning on taking the DAT in August for Med School Matriculation in Fall 2009.

In the meantime, I want to improve my GPA and I know a post-bacc would be good for this. The problem is, where would I get accepted? I took the DAT in August of last year and got a 16 which I know is terrible (thus the reason I am retaking in August)...I know some schools don't ask for DAT/MCAT scores for acceptance because they realize you will take it while you are in their program, but I'm not sure which post-bacs these are.

Anyone recommend anything? Maybe VCU? I was in the process of completing UConn and UMDNJ but after reading a few of the recent posts, I'm thinking I'm definitely not going to get in... :scared:

why do DAT if you are premed?

Im a pre dent as well with a low GPA. Are there any formal programs pre-med or pre-dent that will accept a low GPA? Most programs cut off at 3.0. I've looked into a few post bacc DO prgrams and SMP's but most everything I've looked into, my GPA is still not within range of their students.
